Sandy L. Ruby, 57, Claysburg, passed away Tuesday at her residence. She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late John and Vilma (Stevenson) Scott.
Surviving is her husband, Mark Ruby; nine children: Kenneth Ritchey, Jennie Lee Leonard (James), Angela Clayton (George), Mark W., Jonathan A., Hazel, Theo, Nichole and Garrett Ruby; 11 grandchildren; and siblings: James W. Scott, Cindy Scott, Ruth Moreland, Mary Stickel (Dennis) and Carla Holland; and long time friends: Thelma Claar, Tammy Bradford and John and the late Carol Zerby.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Scott.
Sandy attended Central High School in Martinsburg. She was employed as a clerk at Walmart, Central Bank, Claysburg, Sheetz in Bedford and Riverside in Duncansville.
Sandy enjoyed flowers, collecting knickknacks, elephants, butterflies, hummingbirds, buying and selling quality merchandise and loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.
Friends will be received from 4 until the 6 p.m. memorial service Monday, Nov. 8, 2021, at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg, with Mr. Palmer Knisely officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
