Michael R. ‘Mike’ Greenwood

He graduated from Altoona Area High School in 1996 and attended Southeast Community College in Beatrice, Neb., from 2009-11 to obtain his associates of science degree in business administration. He was inducted into the International Honor Society while attending SCC for achieving a highly commendable GPA.

Mike will, first and foremost, be remembered for his love of family, especially his daughter, Adison. He loved fishing, camping and watching his favorite team, the Steelers. He had a contagious smile and enjoyed family gatherings when he was surrounded by the ones who loved him.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Adison Greenwood of Elgin, Neb.; parents, Patrick and Brenda Greenwood of Orangeburg, S.C.; Shirley (Walker) Greenwood of Altoona; brother, Patrick (Joelle) Greenwood of Moberly, Mo.; sister, Jessica (Mike) Seidel of Altoona; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Edgar and Averta Walker; paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Lois Greenwood; a cousin with whom he was especially close, Tammy Amrhein; and an uncle, Tom Walker.

A private memorial service will be held in Altoona at the discretion of the family. Inurnment will be made at Grandview Cemetery.
