Elvin L. Daugherty Sr., 81, of Lakemont, passed away Saturday at his residence after an extended illness. He was born in Claysburg, son of the late Charles and Celia (Feathers) Daugherty.
He married Coralee Fletcher in 1958. She preceded him in death in Aug. 1998.
Elvin is survived his daughter, Juleen (Charles) Hershberger of Bedford; his sons: Elvin L. (Melissa) Daugherty Jr. of Altoona, Dana Daugherty of Altoona and Tracey Daugherty of Claysburg; and six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters: Dorothy (Joe) Woznik of Easton, BettyLou (Rodney) Hinish of Claysburg and Lulubelle (Eugene) Mowry of Osterburg; three brothers: James (Annettia) Daugherty of Phoenix, Ariz., Terry (Patricia) Replogle of Chambersburg and Harold Daugherty of Linden, N.J.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Elwood, Roger and Glenn; and a sister, Mary Bowman.
Elvin retired from Servomation as a mechanic. He loved spending his free time fishing and hunting, but Elvin especially enjoyed time with his family.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
