Floyd Blair ‘Buddy’ Miller

Floyd Blair "Buddy" Miller, 41, of Altoona, earned his wings after a long, courageous battle with COVID-19 on Jan. 19, 2021, at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Windber.

Surviving are his momma, Susan (Locher) Elder; son, Garrett Miller of Altoona; his brother, Harry (Carol); and sister, Amy Stotler, both of Beaverdale; his sister, Shelly (Michael) Blair of Claysburg; five nieces; three nephews; five great-nieces; three great-nephews; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and special family friends, Tim and Timothy Diehl.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Don Elder; a son, Cole Miller; nephews, Colton Blair and Zye Miller; a niece, Caressa Kovalick; and his grandparents.

Buddy was a kind, caring, loving, soft, gentle person who could brighten anyone's day. He would do anything for anyone.

He loved spending time with his family, farm animals and his dog, Mickey. He enjoyed fishing and camping.

Heaven gained a special angel that will be sadly missed by all, especially his family.

Buddy worked as a bus driver for Beckwith Buses, Port Matilda, and was a laborer for Banyan Construction, Altoona. He formerly worked for Tractor Supply, Altoona.

Due to COVID-19, memorial services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
