Catherine D. Ebersole

Catherine D. Ebersole, 65, of Roaring Spring, died peacefully at home Saturday after a brief battle with brain cancer. She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Jesse Eldrone and Naomi Lyle (Dohrn) Lynn.
She married George Wayne Ebersole on May 22, 1982, at Trough Creek State Park. He died Sept. 22, 2016.
She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer L. Ebersole; a grandson, Nash of Roaring Spring; a stepson, George Patrick Ebersole of Hawaii; and two brothers, Norman Lynn and his wife, Donna, and Mitchel Lynn and his wife, Judy, all of Martinsburg.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Patty Malone.
Cathy was a 1973 graduate of Central High School, a 1978 graduate of The Altoona Area Vocational-Technical School LPN program and a 1993 graduate of Mount Aloysius with her Associate of Science degree in Nursing.
She retired from Omni Home Care, Tyrone, in 2020 as a psychiatric home health nurse with over 15 years of service and had also been employed at The Village at Morrisons Cove as the Director of Nursing.
Cathy loved spending time with her grandson, Nash, was an enthusiastic gardener, an avid reader, crocheting, and had a passion for family history and genealogy. She enjoyed and cherished the friendships that she had developed with her neighbors and her community.
At the request of the deceased, her body will be donated to medical science and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
