Deanna Jane Benton, 68, Claysburg, passed away Saturday at UPMC Altoona after complications due to a stroke.
She born was in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Ray and Ethel (Hainsey) Welch. On June 7, 1969, she married Dennis S. Benton in Claysburg. He preceded her in death on Aug. 29, 2015.
Surviving are a son, Ray S. Benton and wife, Kimberly; a daughter, Denise A. Benton; two granddaughters: Brittany Diehl and Jessica Wentz; four great-grandchildren: Landyn, Charlee, Cooper and Asuna; and siblings: Ray Welch, Regina Rhodes, Mary Welch, Harry Acker, Robert Finnegan and Dorothy Lee Bohley.
Deanna retired as a machine operator from North American Communications in 2002. She enjoyed bowling in leagues and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to your local humane society.
