Terry L. ‘Mr. T.’ Becker Sr.

Terry L. “Mr. T.” Becker Sr., 63, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Thursday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Erie, son of the late Frederick L. and Marjorie (Brubaker) Becker. He first married Shirley Kochinsky, who preceded him in death. He then married Gloria Metz in 2002.

Surviving are his wife of 18 years; a daughter, Brittany (Brandon) of Altoona; a son, Terry Jr. in Ohio; a stepdaughter, Kathryn Campbell (Adam) of Hollidaysburg; a step-son, Paul Belicic (Erin) of Hollidaysburg; seven grandchildren: Madison, Macie, Connor, Wyatt, Kloee, Isabella, and Lucy; a sister, Lori Little (Kyle); three brothers: Frederick (Donna), Mark (Debbie), Barry (Sandy); and his step-mother, Suzy Becker.

He was preceded in death by a brother, David Sr.; and a nephew, David Jr.

Terry was a 1974 graduate of Altoona Area High School, and was an active church member. He was a manager at the former Red Barn Restaurant, drove a truck for many years under the handle, “Rip Off,” and was the owner of Mr. T’s Chicken & Subs. Terry enjoyed sleepovers with the grandchildren, camping, yearly trips to Myrtle Beach, and playing with his dogs: Jake, Marley, Tucker, Roxy, and Jackson.

His grandchildren were his pride and joy. They enjoyed crafts with Pappy.

Terry had many friends and was a very generous man. He will be sorely missed by everyone.
