Gerald E. ‘Jerry’ Cochran

Gerald E. “Jerry” Cochran, 84, Tyrone, died Saturday morning at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Conneaut, Ohio, son of the late Samuel Stewart and Jessie E. (Pier) Cochran.
He is survived by a daughter, Donna L. Williamson and husband, Howard G., of Bellwood; a son, Duane S. and wife, Monica J., of Fairmont, W.Va.; grandchildren, Quint and Haley Cochran; and a sister, Marilyn G. Davis of Tomball, Texas.
He was preceded in death a brother, Ralph R.
Jerry retired in 2011 from First Energy, formerly Allegheny Power System, where he worked as a supervisor. He then drove for Greyhound as a bus driver. He attended Asbury United Methodist Church and was a member of the American Rights of Way Association and a square dance caller from 1971-92.
He served in the U.S. Army.
At the request of the deceased, no public services will be held. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc.
