David Alan Hoover, 58, Altoona, died Thursday, July 26, 2018.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Donald J. Sr. and Joan W. (Staley) Hoover. He married Tammy Radel, who preceded him in death on Feb. 23, 2015.
Surviving are a son, Shawn D. Hoover of Altoona; a brother, Donald J. Hoover Jr. of Altoona; a sister, Nancy J. Mock of Altoona; and a nephew, Mark G. Hoover of Altoona.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Susan K. Hoover and Eva J. Grayson.
David was a self-employed painter for more than 13 years and a member of Wehnwood United Methodist Church, Altoona.
There will be no viewing or service at this time. Arrangements are by Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona.
