Teresa Helen Geishauser

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late George and Anna (Reindl) West. On Aug. 12, 1942, she married Carl George Geishauser at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Altoona, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 1991.

Surviving are four sons: C. Bernard (Kay), Thomas G. (friend, Sarah), Robert L. (Mary Jo) and George W. (Beth) Geishauser, all of Altoona; 18 grandchildren: Kurt B. and Eleni Geishauser, Kelly B. Geishauser, Ben J. Geishauser, Clair M. and Shilah Geishauser, Greg T. and Gina Geishauser, Cory B. and Jen Geishauser, Bret T. Geishauser, Michael R. and Samantha Geishauser, Matthew T. Geishauser, Ryan W. Geishauser, Katie B. and Corey Husted and Tera L. Geishauser; 18 great-grandchildren: Tess, Eleni, Olivia, Emmanuel, Maeve and Grace Geishauser, Jake, Vince and Troy Geishauser, Sarah, Luke and Kathleen Geishauser, Morgan and Mikayla Geishauser, Ava and Jenna Geishauser and Gracie and Henry Husted; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers: Aloyious, George, John and Jake West; and three sisters: Annie Antesberger, Rose West and Mary Schmid.

Teresa was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Altoona, as well as Bavarian Aid Society and Unter Uns Ladies Auxiliary.

Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, May 25, 2017, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, May 26, 2017, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Altoona, Monsignor Timothy P. Stein celebrant. Committal will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Altoona.
