Adita “Edith” Geriak, 91, Portage, passed away Tuesday.
She was born in Portage Township, daughter of the late Anthony and Fidalma (Damin) Scarton. Surviving are three children: John Jr., Claudia and Sylvia; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Sr.; and five siblings: Valerio, Bruno, Walter, Armeda and Dolores. Friends will be received from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, at Serenko-Claar Funeral Home Inc., Portage. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at Holy Family Parish, Portage.
