Nancy E. Stellabotte
Nancy E. Stellabotte, 75, Hollidaysburg, passed away Tuesday morning at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Albany, N.Y., daughter of the late James and Mary (Kidney) Finnerty. She married Dr. Ronald J. Stellabotte on June 6, 1964, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg.
Surviving are her husband; four children: Joseph of Baltimore, Md., Jamie (Adam) Despot of Mooresville, N.C., Ron J. II (Christine) of Murrysville and Tim (Marty Jo) of Altoona; three grandchildren: Sarah, Nick and Morgan; a step-granddaughter, Marissa; a step-great-granddaughter, Laila; and a sister, Bette Baronner of Hollidaysburg.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Muriel.
Nancy graduated from Mount Aloysius Academy and Mount Aloysius Junior College with a degree in medical technology. She retired in 1995 from Altoona Hospital as a registered medical technologist. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg.
Nancy was an excellent bridge player and loved her family, cooking, trips to Hilton Head and traveling. Her favorite trip was to Ireland for her 50th wedding anniversary.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015, at Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 28, 2015, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church by Monsignor Stanley Carson.
The family requests that donations be made to the Barbara Zanker Education Fund at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 301 Spruce St., Hollidaysburg, PA 16648, in memory of Nancy.
