Pancake breakfast served
St. John's Reformed Church, 906 Maple Ave., Hollidaysburg will serve its Spring pancake breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 25. The all-you-can-eat breakfast will feature pancakes, bacon, sausage, orange juice and coffee or tea. Tickets available at the door and are $8 for adults; $4 for children ages 3-12; and free to children under age 3.
Food pantry available
The food pantry at Twenty-eighth Street Church of the Brethren, 28th Street and Union Avenue, is available for those in need. Distribution will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, April 24, by appointment only. Call Deb at 814-207-8293.
Indoor yard sale
St. Mark's of Altoona will hold an indoor yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 24-25. The sale will be in the church basement, Sixth Avenue and Fourth Street. There will be more than 48 tables with over 19 vendors featuring collectibles, household items, gift items, decorations, jewelry and more. The kitchen will be open serving hot food and baked items.
Pasta dinner
St. Thomas Lutheran Church, 1341 Ridge Road, Hooversville, will hold its annual pasta dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 25. Cost is $14 for adults, $8 for children. Price includes
lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, ravioli, side salad, roll. Children's meals include spaghetti, meatballs and ravioli. The meals are available to eat in or take out, while supplies last.
The dinner will be held at the Church Grove (beside St. Thomas).
Bible studies planned
Bible studies will be held at 6 p.m. Thursdays in the parlor at the Duncansville Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1200 Fourth Ave., Duncansville. The schedule includes May 7 - John 14:15-21: An instrument of change; May 14 - John 17:1-11: An instrument of wisdom; May 21 - John 7:37-39: Be open to the spirit; and May 28 - Matthew 28:16-20: Go, baptize and teach. All are welcome.
Church celebrates milestone
A celebration remembering the joining of 58th Street UMC and Schum Memorial UMC will be held at 11 a.m. May 3 at Christ Community Church, 5715 Roselawn Ave. Schum's
100 years of faithful ministry in this community will be marked.
Game and craft day set
All kids Pre-K through fifth grade are invited to a day of games and crafts from 4 to 6 p.m. May 16 at The Well Ministry Center. Pizza and drinks will be served.

Annual Rosary March
The 49th Annual Rosary March sponsored by the Clearfield St. Francis Chapter of the World Apostolate of Fatima, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 3, in the Expo I Building at the Clearfield County Fair Grounds in Clearfield (just off route 322).
The Rosary March will begin with the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, immediately followed by the Rosary, Eucharistic Procession (which will be outside weather permitting).
The guest speaker at this year's Rosary March will be Deacon Paul Boboige from Nativity of the Mother of God Byzantine Catholic parish in DuBois. His devotion to our Heavenly Mother is very strong and he depends on her for strength and protection. He has pilgrimaged to many of her apparition sites. Deacon Paul was an active member in the DuBois chapter of the Blue Army vigils and is a Fourth Degree member of the Spiritual Advisor of the Knights of Columbus Council 419 in DuBois. He is also a member of the Marian Movement of Priest and DuBois Chapter of Citizens Concerned for Human Life.
Other highlights of the program include crowning of The Erie Diocesan Pilgrim Virgin Statue and Benediction of The Most Blessed Sacrament.
The St. Francis Rosary and Altar Society will be present selling a variety of food. There will also be various vendor booths featuring books, religious goods and snacks.
The Clearfield March was started by Bud Moore 49 years ago as a response to the appearance of the Blessed Virgin Mary in 1917 to the three shepherd children of Fatima, Portugal. Her message of prayer and penance, especially the Rosary, and that God has entrusted the peace of the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary moved Moore to promote the Rosary by means of the Annual Rosary March. Our Lady of Fatima asks us to pray the Rosary every day in order to obtain peace in the world.

Picnics in the park
The Well Ministry Center is sponsoring Picnics in the Park at Grove Memorial Park, 23rd Street and Sixth Avenue, every Tuesday.
A meal will be served at 5:15 p.m., followed by games, crafts and a short message of hope. The whole family is welcome. Rain or shine. The Well is located at 605 Burns Ave., Altoona.
Grief support offered
The grief support group meets at 6 p.m. Thursdays at The Well Ministry Center, 605 Burns Ave., Altoona. This is a safe place to share, heal and find hope and comfort. For more information, call 814-201-2548.
