Sentencings

The following sentencings were filed in Blair County Court. Although some cases may be more than a year old, the Mirror publishes them in the interest of complete reporting.

The following defendants pleaded guilty to charges listed and were sentenced as shown:

Rodney L. Rollason, 59, 1017 Third Ave., Duncansville, sentenced Oct. 22, 2018, to a $25 fine and five years’ probation for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance; and one year of probation for criminal use of a communication facility, filed by Altoona police Aug. 3, 2017; and the same sentence for the same charges, filed by Altoona police Oct. 12, 2107.

Russell J. Diehl, 39, 2423 Broad Ave., Apt. 4, Altoona, sentenced Sept. 21, 2018, to three to 23.5 months in jail and a $200 fine for conspiracy; three to 23.5 months in jail and a $200 fine for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance; and a $200 fine and five years’ probation for criminal use of a communication facility, filed by Altoona police June 29, 2017; and the same sentence for the same charges, filed by Altoona police Aug. 28, 2017; and the same sentence for the same charges, filed by Altoona police July 31, 2017.

Melissa L. Smith, 47, 126 Lodge St., Woodbury, sentenced July 3, 2018, to nine to 23.5 months in jail and a $200 fine for simple assault, filed by Freedom Township police Nov. 9, 2017.

Trenton G. Wike, 21, 507 N. Fifth St., Altoona, sentenced Sept. 14, 2018, to a $500 fine and three years’ probation for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, filed by state police March 27, 2017.

Russell L. Sipes Jr., 39, 480 Greendown Acres, Duncans­ville, sentenced Sept. 20, 2018, to a $100 fine and three months’ probation for retail theft, filed by Freedom Township police Oct. 9, 2017.
