Crash claims East Freedom motorist

An East Freedom man was killed in a single-vehicle accident Monday night. According to the Blair County Coroner’s Office, Steven Emerick, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in the area of 14483 Dunnings Highway, East Freedom. Emerick was the only occupant of the vehicle, the coroner’s office stated, noting the office was called to the scene about 6:57 p.m. The investigation is ongoing. An autopsy was performed Wednesday.
