Shirley Jean “Cookie” O’Donnell, 84, of Flinton (Beaver Valley), died Wednesday. She was born in Beaver Valley, daughter of the late Robert and Beulah (Gates) Barnhart. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William; infant daughter, Brittany; siblings: William, Robert, Patricia Kendrick, Donna Westover and Joanne Hilmer. Surviving are sons, Brad and Bruce O’Donnell; and grandsons, Bradley and Shea O’Donnell. Charles R. Chipperfield Jr., 85, of Altoona, passed away Friday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Charles Sr. and Naomi (Quenzler) Chipperfield. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; children: Charles III, Beth Ellen and Faith; and sisters: Phyllis Scott, Elizabeth Arsenault and Sharon Johnson. Elmer Gorden Little Jr.

Elmer Gorden Little Jr., 80, Altoona, died Monday. He was born in Tyrone, son of the late Elmer G. and Rose (Stack) Little. On June 11, 1965, he married Edna LaRue Miller. Surviving are children: Misty Weyandt, Holly Burick and James Little; grandchildren: Paul Jr., Amanda, Casandra, Nickolas, Christopher and Ellie; eight great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Ann Miller and Debbie Leech. Elmer dedicated 20 years of service to the US Army. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Altoona.
