Johanna C. Romano, 101, of Tyrone, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026. She was born in Spike Island, near Osceola Mills, daughter of the late John and Margaret (Klimchalk) Palochko. On May 31, 1947, at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church, Houtzdale, she was married to Ralph J. Romano (Tyrone High School, Class of 1940). They were married for 67 years, all of which they resided in Tyrone. She is survived by three children: Christopher of Altoona, Cynthia (Larry) Borda of Yarley and Cheryl (Ken Lee) in Virginia; three granddaughters; and a grandson.
