Major documents start US journey

Some of the United States’ most important historical documents are beginning a first-of-its kind journey as part of the country’s 250th anniversary commemoration.
The documents include the 1783 Treaty of Paris that formally ended the Revolutionary War and the 1774 Articles of Association that urged colonists to boycott British goods. They are rarely moved from their home at the National Archives in Washington, D.C., but will begin an eight-city tour on Monday.

Guthrie returns to mother’s home
TUCSON — “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie and her sister returned to their mother’s home outside Tucson in their first sighting at the house since Nancy Guthrie went missing a month ago.
The NBC anchor, her sister Annie Guthrie and brother-in-law Tommaso Cioni walked arm-in-arm down the driveway and laid yellow flowers in a makeshift tribute to the 84-year-old at the edge of the street.

United flight returns to LA airport
LOS ANGELES — A United Airlines flight has returned to the Los Angeles airport for an emergency evacuation after a reported fire.
All flights at the LAX International Airport were ordered to remain on the ground for about half an hour during the flight’s return and evacuation Monday morning.
The Los Angeles Fire Department said no injuries have been reported and the fire is contained.
