Parents and guardians of young children are invited to have their car seats checked for safety and proper installation at the child safety seat inspection event from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, hosted by Rep. Andrea Verobish, R-Blair.
The free event will be held at the AAA Altoona office, 1634 Valley View Blvd., Altoona. Certified technicians will be on-site to inspect individual car seats and check if they are fit for use.
Verobish is hosting the event in partnership with PennDOT, AAA and Pennsylvania State Police.
Participants are encouraged to bring their child, safety seats, vehicle manuals and safety seat manuals when possible.
