Bellwood-Antis Public Library hosts quilt show

The Bellwood Quilting Bees will hold their annual quilt show at the Bellwood-Antis Public Library, 526 Main St., Bellwood, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3.
The show consists of several displays featuring patriotic items honoring the 250th year of the United States of America. There will be several quilts of red, white and blue and a vintage quilt showing a history of trains serving the military in the time of the Korean War.
A second feature is the "Borrowed" Quilt Challenge showcasing small quilts, 20 by 20 inches or smaller.
Quilters will be present to discuss and show their quilted works and answer questions.
Free sewing/quilting kits are available for beginners and children accompanied by an adult.
Everyone is invited to visit, learn to quilt and join the Quilting Bees.
Meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. the first Thursday of each month at Bellwood-Antis Public Library.
