A man was pronounced dead following a three-vehicle accident on Interstate 99 in Greenfield Township Friday evening.
Michael Napier, 63, of New Port Richey, Fla., was transported to Conemaugh Nason Hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The Lexus SUV he was driving north on I-99 was rear ended by a Ford Transit while slowing down for traffic in front of them. Napier's vehicle then hit another vehicle before coming to a stop. The Transit continued north and spun 180 degrees before hitting an embankment.
The driver of the Transit had minor injuries, while the passenger in the Lexus was also transported to Nason for serious injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
