PORT MATILDA -- The 10th annual Soggy Bottom Motofest continues Saturday at The Fowler Grove Community Center near Port Matilda.
Soggy Bottom Motofest is a three-day Adventure Motorcycle and Dual-Sport rally that consists of camping, recreational rides, guest speakers and vendors.
The event attracts about 600 riders. Two rides will be held Saturday, July 25, with dual sport routes on a mix of pavement, forest roads, technical ATV width tracks and single track. The adventure bike routes will be "big bike friendly" and stick primarily to paved and state maintained forest roads. The sport touring routes will be 100% paved.
The event also includes two clinics.
Shawn Thomas and Louise Powers will present a dirt riding clinic for beginner to intermediate level riders. The first part of the clinic will be held on site and cover the basics of off pavement riding. The second part of the clinic will be a group ride with Thomas and Powers where riders can put their newly learned skills to the test.
New to this year is the Advanced Dirt Riding Clinic from Tom Asher, who brings expert advice and tips for dirt riding.
