Gov. Josh Shapiro announced funding for a slew of projects across the Commonwealth Thursday as part of the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program.

The program will invest nearly $445 million into 356 projects across Pennsylvania to create jobs, improve infrastructure, strengthen public safety and drive long-term economic growth in various communities, according to a news release.

RACP is a reimbursement grant program that supports essential design, acquisition and construction projects across the state.

Roughly $8 million will flow into the region as part of Shapiro's initiative, including to the Altoona Curve, the Cambria County Miracle League and the East Broad Top Railroad.

Miracle League of Cambria County will receive $650,000 to build a baseball field with special facilities in Johnstown. The project will include constructing a field, bleachers, concession stand and press box and associated stormwater improvements.

"I was proud to fully fund this grant for the Miracle League to support major improvements at Roxbury Park," Sen. Wayne Langerholc Jr., R-Cambria, said in a statement. "This investment strengthens a community asset and ensures people of all abilities can continue using the park to stay active and engaged in our community."
