Low-interest loans available for residents impacted by flooding

Low-interest loans are now available through the U.S. Small Business Administration for Pennsylvanians impacted by the July 5-6 flooding in Blair County, and surrounding Bedford, Cambria, Centre, Clearfield and Huntingdon counties.

A Disaster Loan Outreach Center is now open at the Tyrone Borough building to allow people to apply for a Small Business Administration low interest loan and the Commonwealth Disaster Recovery Assistance Program grant.

The office will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays at the borough municipal officers, 1100 Logan Ave., Tyrone. The center will permanently close at 4 p.m. Aug. 13.

Alternatively, paper loan applications can be downloaded at https://www.sba.gov/document/sba-form-5c-disaster-home-loan-application. Completed paper applications can be dropped off in-person at the DLOC or mailed to: U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, TX 76155-2243.
