A city woman was taken into custody after Blair County probation officers discovered drugs and drug paraphernalia in her residence during a home visit.
Danielle Louise Glunt, 30, was arraigned Friday by Magisterial District Judge Daniel C. DeAntonio on two felony counts of possession with intent to deliver, a felony count of criminal use of a communication facility, two misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia. She was remanded to the Blair County Prison in lieu of $30,000 bail.
The charges were filed after Blair County Adult Probation officers went to Glunt's apartment along the 1000 block of Fifth Avenue about 7 p.m. Thursday for a home visit. Officers did not receive an answer when they knocked on Glunt's door and were told by Glunt over the phone that she was not home. The officers were able to enter the apartment after the landlord arrived with a key, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
When officers entered the apartment through its back door, Glunt attempted to escape out the front door but was intercepted. The officers noted that the time it took to enter the apartment would have given Glunt enough time to conceal items within the residence, the report states.
Officers requested police assistance after an initial search of Glunt's apartment revealed multiple empty zip-top baggies with white power residue, a wrapped piece of tin foil in the bathroom containing about two grams of suspected methamphetamine and two quart-sized containers containing suspected marijuana. A subsequent search warrant executed on the apartment yielded about 12 ounces of suspected marijuana, one gram of meth, two unidentified red pills, 44 Xanax bars, a digital scale, a grinder, packaging material and four glass smoking devices with burnt residue, the report states.
A probation officer reported completing a physical analysis of Glunt's phone and locating multiple text messages in which Glunt offered sexual favors in exchange for drugs or money. The officer also found photos of what appeared to be cocaine and meth, which were sent as recently as that morning, the report states.
Glunt is scheduled for a preliminary hearing July 29 in front of DeAntonio.
