Diane Dantos, a volunteer at Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg, has received the Volunteer of the Year Award as part of LeadingAge PA’s 2026 Distinguished Service Awards. This award recognizes her exceptional contributions, leadership and commitment to enhancing the quality of life for older adults through volunteer work.

“Diane volunteers every Monday through Friday and brings love and compassion with her every day. She is one of the kindest people you could have ever have the privilege to meet,” said Alicia Fenstermacher, vice president of Purposeful Living at Presbyterian Senior Living. “Her gratitude for being able to serve is evident in every interaction. From the moment she walks in the building, her full attention is on those in her care. Each morning, she leads enriching activity programming, including trivia, exercise and discussion groups that nurture the social, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of every participant.”

Dantos has volunteered at Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg since 2021, contributing over 4,800 hours. She supports residents with daily activities such as meals, exercise and group engagement, while also fostering companionship. Her reliable presence helps create a stable, supportive environment for residents and staff alike.

“Each year, these awards recognize individuals and organizations whose dedication and service in the aging services field made a meaningful impact,” said LeadingAge PA President and CEO Garry Pezzano. “These honorees generously invest their time, talent, and energy into their communities, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to supporting and caring for older adults across Pennsylvania.”
