The Intermunicipal Relations Committee will hold a household hazardous waste collection from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 18, at the Jaffa Shrine Center on Broad Avenue.

Pre-registration is required at IRCEnvironment.org.

Workers will accept only:

– fluorescent bulbs and tubes;

– automotive fluids like used motor oil and antifreeze;

– pesticides and fertilizers;

– flammables and corrosives like paint thinner and drain cleaner;

– aerosol cans;

– latex, oil-based and spray paints.

There will be a base charge of $25 per vehicle, plus 50 cents per pound for paints.

Attendees must remain in their vehicles at all times for health and safety.

Bring materials in car trunks or pickup beds.
