ACRP, IUP mark affiliation
Alternative Community Resource Program will host a formal signing ceremony to establish a new clinical affiliation agreement with Indiana University of Pennsylvania, marking a significant step forward in expanding health care education and services in the region. The signing will take place at ACRP’s Outpatient Clinic, 119 Walnut St., Johnstown, at 1 p.m. Monday.
The agreement supports the development of IUP’s Proposed College of Osteopathic Medicine and reflects a shared commitment to advancing community-based clinical training and improving health care access across Pennsylvania.
Through this affiliation, ACRP will play a vital role in supporting clinical education opportunities, offering students access to real-world experience in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. It also highlights IUP’s ongoing efforts to expand its academic offerings and reinforces their commitment to serving the healthcare needs of communities throughout Pennsylvania and beyond.

Panera backs cancer research
Flynn Group LP, Panera Bread’s second-largest franchisee in America, announced its 11th annual fundraising campaign to benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a pediatric cancer
charity funding cancer treatment research, will take place from now through Aug. 31.
During this summer’s fundraising campaign, participating Flynn Group Panera Bread locations will donate 25 cents from Lemon Bundt Cakes, Frozen Lemonade, Frozen Strawberry Lemonade, Regular Agave Lemonade and Strawberry Basil Lemonade sales.
Additionally, $1 from each 4-pack of Lemon Bundt Cakes sold and $3 from each lemonade tote sold with catering orders will be donated to the foundation.
Guests also have the option to round up their checks or donate a dollar amount at checkout to show their support until Sept. 30.
Since its inception in 2016, Flynn Group’s Panera Bread locations have raised $747,211 through its Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation fundraising campaign.
