FFA Chapter: Tyrone Area FFA

Years involved with FFA: 4

Amount of time spent on FFA: I spend at least 20 hours a week in both the classroom and supervised agricultural experiences.

FFA projects: Photography entrepreneurship, communications placement, paid work placements and my chicken placement.

Favorite FFA memory: My favorite FFA memories would be going to The Big E, PA State FFA Convention and National FFA Convention.

FFA accomplishments: My team received second place at the state level for the floriculture CDE. We also placed fourth at The Big E in floriculture. I also served as one of the 2025-26 FFA in the USA reporters, where I wrote articles for the National FFA.

How has FFA prepared you for your future aspirations: FFA has helped me develop my leadership abilities, which is useful for any career. It has also provided me with a pathway to pursue a communications degree, as I served as our chapter reporter for two years. My ultimate goal is to have a career in agricultural communications.

Special thanks: I want to thank my advisor, Tiffany Hoy, for pushing me to be my greatest. I also want to thank my family for being my biggest supporters.

Quote: “Many people think FFA is just about animals and plants. While those two things are super important, there are also many other career readiness and character development aspects involved in the process.”

Starting at $2.99/week.
