Worn and damaged flags will be collected by state Rep. Scott Barger's Hollidaysburg and Bellwood offices in June to be prepared for proper retirement.
Barger, R-Blair/Huntingdon, will collect flags during regular business hours at 324 Allegheny St., Hollidaysburg, and 135 Stadium Drive, Bellwood. The Bellwood office is operating under temporary schedule changes, so constituents are asked to call ahead of time.
"Flag Day (June 14) is an important opportunity to show respect for our nation's flag," Barger said. "I wanted to make it easy for residents of the 80th District to properly retire worn and damaged flags in accordance with federal flag etiquette."
Barger will work with community partners for a retirement ceremony.

Blair DUI Task Force releases patrol results
The Blair DUI Task Force conducted a DUI roving patrol on Saturday, May 23, making 53 individual contacts and issuing 34 warnings and nine citations.
Among those actions, officers ordered five blood tests and eight PBT tests, conducted five DUI field tests and made five DUI alcohol arrests. Officers also made one public drunkenness arrest and filed charges against one person for resisting arrest. Two underage drinking citations were issued as well as one liquor law violation.
