Voting opens for Coolest Thing Made in PA competition
After more than 28,000 votes cast, the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry has announced the final 16 in the online contest for the “Coolest Thing Made in PA.”
Voting in the third round opens at 9 a.m. Thursday, March 26, and continues through 4 p.m. Friday, March 27.
The competition began with 56 made-in-PA products and after two rounds of voting the following have made it into the third round:
Eat N’ Park Smiley Cookie; EOS Battery; Smith’s Hot Dogs; Joy Ice Cream Cones; DelGrosso’s Pasta Sauce; Sheetz MTO; PSU Creamery Ice Cream; Boyer Candy Company Mallow Cup; Martin Guitar Co. Guitars; Rita’s Italian Ice; Crayola Crayons; Pat’s King of Steaks Cheesesteaks; Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Candy Bar; Denim Coffee Co.; Martin’s Potato Rolls; Neosporin.
DelGrosso’s Pasta Sauce, which topped Manitowoc Cranes in the first round and Gardner’s Peanut Better Meltaways in the second round, is now up against Sheetz MTO. Sheetz MTO topped MACK Defense M917A3 Heavy Dump Truck in the first round and Slinky in the second round.
Boyer’s Mallow Cups are up against PSU Creamery Ice Cream, which topped New Pig Absorbent Mats in the first round and Yuengling Lager in the second round. Boyer’s Mallow Cups topped Case Knives in the second round, after losing to Slinky in the first round and making a comeback in the Battle Back Round.
