Stuckey Automotive will partner with the American Red Cross to sponsor a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, April 3, at Stuckey’s headquarters, 899 Plank Road, Duncansville.

Donors can visit RedCrossBlood.org/Give to schedule a donation; walk-ins are welcome. This event is a Power Red Drive, and donors will receive an exclusive Red Cross x Life Is Good T-shirt while supplies last.

New FFA supporters chapter forming

A new FFA Alumni & Supporters Chapter is forming to strengthen agricultural education and youth leadership in the community. The group will unite parents, former FFA members, community leaders and agricultural supporters to provide hands-on help and mentorship for local students.

The organizational charter meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, in the Agriculture Room at Tyrone Area High School, 1001 Clay Ave., Tyrone. Attendees should enter at the back of the high school through the doors marked with the FFA emblem by the greenhouse.

Annual local dues are $20, which enrolls each member at the local, state and national levels.

The Alumni & Supporters Chapter will provide a vital “helping hand” by chaperoning and judging FFA events, coaching Career Development Event teams, connecting students with career opportunities and serving as mentors for the next generation of agricultural leaders. Membership is open to anyone who believes in supporting agriculture and education — participants do not need to be former FFA members or graduates of the local school district.

Members will also gain access to benefits offered through National FFA, including leadership workshops; networking opportunities at state, regional and national events; digital issues of FFA New Horizons; exclusive partner discounts; travel opportunities; and an online professional community for alumni and supporters.
