Cambria County plans America250 events in Ebensburg
The Cambria County America250PA Committee has announced plans to mark America’s 250th anniversary on July 4 with a parade, ceremony and live musical performance starting at 10 a.m. in downtown Ebensburg — the seat of Cambria County.
The celebration will include musical performances by the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra, remarks from local officials, two commissioned artwork displays — the Cambria County Liberty Bell and the Cambria County Torch — as well as readings by the America250PA Essay Contest winners.
“The Cambria County America250PA Committee has been working on multiple projects throughout the year to mark this milestone anniversary, and we’re excited to culminate the work that’s been done with this Fourth of July event,” said Danea Koss, America250PA Cambria County committee member. “It’s going to be a great way to come together and honor the anniversary of the founding of our great nation.”
A parade entry form has been posted at www.ebensburgpa.com, under the Events/4th of July section.
