The Blair County Health and Welfare Council will meet at 8:30 a.m. Friday, March 27, at The United Way of the Southern Alleghenies, 208 Hollidaysburg Plaza, Duncansville. There will also be a Zoom option available.
Wendy Melius, executive director of the Center for Community Action, will provide an overview and update of the services they provide.
The Blair County Health and Welfare Council provides education and information to the public on health and human service needs, services and resources. Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting.

Cresson Lions hold pancake breakfast
The Cresson Area Lions Club will hold a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, March 29, at the Cresson American Legion on Ashcroft Avenue.
Tickets for all-you-can-eat pancakes are $8 per person. Dine-in and takeout are available.
A basket raffle to benefit the Cresson Lions Swimming Pool also will be held during the event.
PawPaw workshop scheduled
Explore the relationship between the native PawPaw and the Zebra Swallowtail butterfly with speaker Gabrielle Marsden at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 29, at Duncansville Memorial Park.
