LIHEAP program still available
Peoples Natural Gas is reminding customers that LIHEAP — the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program — is still open, and there’s more time to get help.
LIHEAP is accepting applications through May 8. The federally funded, state-run program provides one-time grants of $200 to $1,000 applied directly to a customer’s Peoples bill.
Peoples urges every eligible customer to apply now — funding is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The sooner a customer applies, the better their chances of receiving the full benefit they are eligible for before the program closes for the season.
