Altoona police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred early Saturday morning on the 100 block of Sixth Avenue.

The victim was transported to UPMC Altoona and the Blair County Coroner’s office was called for a death investigation at 4:07 a.m., according to a news release.

Timothy Reffner, 67, died from injuries suffered in the crash involving a motor vehicle and a motorized pedalcycle, the Blair County Coroner’s Office reported.

It is believed Reffner is from Altoona.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, the coroner’s office reported.
