Tyrone traffic stop yields drug charges for Altoona man
Fairley allegedly had cocaine in vehicle
A traffic stop about 3:16 p.m. Sunday in Tyrone ended with an Altoona man behind bars on drug charges.
According to Tyrone Borough police, Lorenzo L. Fairley, 54, was stopped on the 500 block of West 15th Street for a speeding violation.
Police said Fairley was also driving on an expired license. A consent search of his vehicle turned up 4 ounces of suspected cocaine, with a street value of $4,000, and a small amount of marijuana.
Fairley was arraigned Sunday evening before Magisterial District Judge Matthew Dunio on a felony charge of possession with intent to deliver and misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.
Unable to post $200,000 bail, he was remanded to the Blair County Prison. His preliminary hearing is set for March 3 before Magisterial District Judge Kevin Stoltz.
