Domino’s Pizza in Cresson is hosting a fundraising event on Feb. 25 to help a Penn Cambria sophomore student recover from a subdural abscess.

According to a Facebook post, Jace Davison experienced flu symptoms and severe headaches in January, only to discover that a serious sinus infection had created an abscess near the back of his skull after multiple visits to the emergency room and the doctor’s office.

He then underwent surgery to drain the infection at the UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, where he is currently receiving intensive IV antibiotics in the hospital’s intensive care unit.

“While he still has a long road to recovery, we are grateful for the incredible medical care he is receiving and encouraged by the progress he’s making,” the Facebook post states.

A percentage of all sales made at Domino’s Pizza in Cresson on Feb. 25 will be donated to Davison and his family.

Cash donations to alleviate family travel expenses can also be made inside the shop.

Starting at $2.99/week.
