Buffalo Wild Wings has confirmed that the popular sports bar franchise is planning a new location in Altoona.

Officials said the project is in the “very early stages” of development and details such as design, timelines and opening dates have not been finalized.

The location for the new restaurant also has not been determined.

Buffalo Wild Wings opened a location in downtown State College in March 2025 and has more than 1,300 locations across all 50 states. The company is operated out of Sandy Springs, Georgia, home to its parent company Inspire Brands.
