Duo arrested on drug charges

Dudley

A Martinsburg man was one of two men arrested Wednesday after K-9 Blue alerted to the presence of drugs during a traffic stop.

Altoona police, along with officers and agents of the Blair County Drug Task Force, state police and the state Office of Attorney General conducted a drug interdiction stop on a suspicious vehicle on the 2200 block of Broad Avenue in downtown Altoona on Wednesday, according to an Altoona police report.

During the stop, K-9 Blue conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the odor of controlled substances.

The driver, Ghage Morgan, 20, of Martinsburg, and front-seat passenger Charles Walter Dudley, 46, of Middletown, Delaware, were taken into custody while police applied for and received a search warrant for the vehicle.

During the search, police found on Dudley’s person 126 grams of suspected cocaine, with a street value of $12,600; 147 yellow and green pressed methamphetamine pills with a street value of $3,000; and $313 in cash.

Morgan also faces summary traffic violations.

They were remanded to the Blair County Prison after being unable to post $100,000 bail each.
