State Rep. Scott Barger launches bid to retain House seat

Barger

State Rep. Scott Barger has announced his candidacy for reelection to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 80th Legislative District.

“It has been my honor to serve the people of the 80th District,” Barger said. “I am running for reelection to continue fighting for the values and priorities that matter most to our families and communities.”

Barger said he has established a strong record of conservative leadership on the issues and has been a steadfast advocate for the sanctity of life, consistently voting to protect the unborn and supporting pro-life legislation.

In addition, Barger said he has protected Second Amendment rights and has stood firm against efforts to infringe upon law-abiding citizens’ right to keep and bear arms.

He has also championed pro-business policies that reduce regulatory burdens, lower taxes and create an environment where Pennsylvania businesses can thrive and create good-paying jobs.

A leading voice for fiscal responsibility, Barger said he is working tirelessly to reduce waste, fraud and abuse in state government, and he has fought to ensure that taxpayer-funded benefits are reserved for legal U.S. residents.

Barger said his campaign will focus on continuing his work to protect taxpayers, defend constitutional freedoms, promote economic opportunity and ensure government serves the people efficiently and effectively.
