The Hollidaysburg American Legion Ambulance Service is now serving Williamsburg Borough, as well as Catharine, Woodbury and Huston townships.

HALAS’s reorganization follows Martinsburg Borough Council’s decision in October 2025 to switch emergency medical service providers to AMED, leaving many residents disgruntled with the board’s decision.

Offering 24/7 Advanced Life Support coverage, HALAS posted on its Facebook page that “placing an EMS crew in Williamsburg will reduce the response times significantly, while providing the highest level trained crew to the area.”
