Ebensburg kicks off America250 events with movie night

Movie night ushers in events

The public is invited to kick-off America’s 250th Anniversary year with a showing of “National Treasure” at the Young Peoples Community Center on Friday, Jan. 23. The event is hosted by the Cub Scout Pack 26, in partnership with the Ebensburg Main Street Partnership and the YPCC.

Admission is $3, with the exception of Scouts who enter free of charge.

Doors open at 5:15 p.m., and the evening will begin with a “kid-friendly” synopsis of the American Revolution and our country’s founding history at 5:30 p.m., presented by Denise Damico, professor of history at Saint Francis University.

The movie will begin promptly at 5:45 p.m. Popcorn, hot dogs, candy and drinks will be available at the concession stand.
