C-K seeks energy-saving contracts
From Mirror staff reports
At Wednesday night’s special meeting, the Claysburg-Kimmel School Board agreed to place an ad in the Altoona Mirror looking for energy-saving contracts before noon Dec. 29, according to business manager Dena Burket.
Throughout the year, Burket said the board heard presentations from multiple organizations, such as McClure Company, which presented on Dec. 3.
If another company wishes to present to the board, she said it’s “more than likely” that they will hold another meeting before the end of the year.
“These bids will help us determine the scope of what we’re looking at doing” to improve the district’s energy-saving ability, Burket said.
The board plans to take from reserve funding to pay for the future energyservice project at the district.
