Blair County swearing-in ceremonies set for Jan. 2

The Blair County Swearing-in Ceremony for judges, magisterial district judges and elected officials will be held at the Blair County Courthouse in Courtroom 1 at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2.

The ceremony is open to the public with limited seating. Common Pleas Judges Louis C. Schmitt Jr. and Paula M. Aigner will be sworn in as judges serving in the 24th Judicial District, Court of Common Pleas.

Magisterial District Judge Matthew Dunio of the MDJ District 24-3-02 Court will be sworn in for another term, while Kevin P. Stoltz Jr. will be sworn in as the magisterial district judge of the MDJ District 24-3-01 Court.

Pete Weeks will be sworn in for another term as Blair County’s District Attorney and James E. Ott will be sworn in for another term as Blair County Sheriff.

Robin Patton will be sworn in for another term as Blair County Prothonotary and Lisa L. Logan will be sworn in as Blair County’s Acting Register of Wills and Recorder of Deeds.

There will be a brief reception following the ceremony.
