Altoona Police Department warns of car thefts, break-ins
Two vehicles reported stolen
Two vehicles were reported stolen early Friday morning and police are asking residents to check security footage taken from midnight to 4 a.m.
In addition, after a string of break-ins, the Altoona Police Department is reminding residents and visitors alike to remove valuables from their vehicles and keep them locked while parked.
According to a Facebook post, Altoona police said several vehicles were broken into early Friday morning in the area of the 100 to 400 blocks of North 10th Avenue in the Juniata section of Altoona and in the area of Third and Fourth avenues around Kettle to Second streets. Two vehicles were stolen during this time, police reported.
