Alleged Florida Felony Lane Gang members arrested in Blair County
Florida-based group known to steal IDs, commit bank fraud
Two alleged members of what police call the Florida Felony Lane Gang are in custody in Blair County, while three others remain persons of interest in a series of smash-and-grab thefts and bank fraud cases that have been reported across at least 15 counties and five states.
Florida resident Shaquille Davonte Lewis, 29, and Philadelphia resident Tiffany John, 31, are being held at the Blair County Prison in lieu of bail, set at $2 million for Lewis and $200,000 for John.
Lewis and John both face dozens of felony charges related to their alleged participation in the organized crime ring, including counts of conspiracy to commit forgery, conspiracy to commit identity theft and corrupt organizations – employee.
According to the 74-page affidavit of probable cause, the crime ring has been under investigation since at least December 2024, with incidents reported in Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia, New Jersey and New York.
The gang is centered in Fort Lauderdale and is known to steal victims’ identities, create fraudulent identifications and commit bank fraud, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
Known as the “Felony Lane Gang” for their use of the drive-thru bank lane farthest from surveillance cameras to cash fraudulent checks while avoiding detection, the group is responsible for widespread smash and grab thefts, the affidavit states.
In Pennsylvania, incidents were reported not only in Blair County, but in Cambria, Centre, Bedford, Somerset and at least 10 other counties.
The cases are similar in style, in that the gang steals the identity of a person through theft, creates a fraudulent identification and then commits bank fraud to maximize profit, the affidavit states.
A common tactic by the gang is to use drug-addicted persons to conduct the crimes while the main conspirators are hidden, police reported.
As of June 2025, state police identified about 58 incidents with losses of about $100,000.
Among those incidents are multiple cases in Blair County, including an incident on Jan. 7 at Keystone Dental. In that incident, a patient leaving the office found her vehicle window smashed out and her work-issued laptop and lunch bag missing.
Another incident on Jan. 7 happened when a customer was pumping gas, the report states. Seconds after the victim begins pumping gas, a vehicle pulls up, a passenger gets out and quickly enters and exits the victim’s vehicle, stealing the victim’s wallet.
A third case on Jan. 7 happened at the Bellwood Post Office where a victim’s locked vehicle was entered through a smashed rear passenger window. The victim’s purse was stolen in this smash and grab incident, police reported.
Several additional incidents were reported on Jan. 7 in Pennsylvania — in Patton, Swatara Township in Harrisburg and in Lycoming County — all using similar tactics.
In one New York case, on Jan. 9, multiple cars were targeted while their occupants were at Maple Grove Cemetery for a burial service. Items taken from vehicles included wallets and purses, all with bank and credit cards, driver’s licenses, home keys and more.
The affidavit spells out each incident police linked to the Felony Lane Gang and the investigation into the gang.
Using cellular data, video surveillance and vehicle descriptions, police appeared to painstakingly piece the case together, according to the affidavit.
A criminal complaint was filed Oct. 16 against five of the alleged gang members, court documents state.
Lewis was arraigned Tuesday in front of Magisterial District Judge Daniel C. DeAntonio. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in front of Jones on Jan. 7, 2026.
John, who was arraigned Sept. 10 in front of Magisterial District Judge Benjamin F. Jones, waived her right to a preliminary hearing in October, sending all charges against her to the court of common pleas. Her next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 27, 2026.
The cases against other alleged gang members — Janeace Kashe Hamilton, 30, Vincent James Bailey, 25, and Tre’Mone Deanti Drisdom, 22, all of Fort Lauderdale, Florida — remain inactive. Charges filed in their cases are similar to those filed against Lewis and John.
It was unclear how Lewis and John were located in Blair County.
