Two more Tyrone men face charges in child porn case
Woomer, Reese each charged with 10 felony child sex abuse counts
State police at Rockview have filed charges against two Tyrone men accused of creating child pornography.
Michael Howard Woomer, 66, and Morris W. Reese, 64, each face 10 felony counts of sexual abuse of children – child sexual abuse material.
Charges were filed Thursday in Centre County, but according to online court documents, the two have yet to be arraigned and, as of Thursday evening, their cases are listed as being inactive.
Earlier this week, police arrested Samuel Friday, 67, after receiving a ChildLine tip that Friday was paying juveniles to perform sex acts.
When police searched Friday’s home, they found a cache of images, videos, sex toys, provocative clothing and more in Friday’s basement.
Friday was arraigned on 10 charges of possession of child sexual abuse material and remains jailed in Centre County with bail denied.
During the investigation into Friday’s actions, police located videos of child sexual assault that involved Friday and other men — later alleged to be Woomer and Reese, according to court documents.
During a news conference Wednesday, Centre County District Attorney Bernie Cantorna said Friday’s involvement in the sexual abuse of juveniles has been going on for years.
Cantorna is urging anyone with information related to the investigation to contact Trooper Jonathan Hodges at the PSP Rockview Barracks, 814-355-7545, or contact county Detective John Aston at the District Attorney’s Office, 814-355-6735.
More charges are expected as the investigation continues.
