Pennsylvania budget bill OKs advanced air mobility site in Cambria County
The state fiscal code signed into law by Gov. Josh Shapiro on Wednesday also approves an advanced air mobility site in Cambria County, a policy developed and spearheaded by state Sen. Wayne Langerholc, R-Cambria.
The drone or “air mobility” base will be used for test and development purposes and will be the first of its kind in Pennsylvania.
The policy “will designate an Advanced Air Mobility Site at the Johnstown-Cambria County Airport,” Langerholc said in a statement. “This investment puts our region at the cutting edge of aviation technology, bringing innovation, high-paying jobs and new opportunities to our region.”
