A structure fire about 6:53 p.m. Monday on the 300 block of Shady Springs Road, Portage Township, displaced one person and left the building a total loss, Cambria County Emergency Management Agency Director Tom Davis said.

An official cause for the fire hasn’t been determined as of Tuesday afternoon, Davis said, noting a state police fire marshal was called to investigate.

Davis said the American Red Cross was also notified to assist the displaced person. There were no injuries reported, he said.

According to Davis, the Portage Volunteer Fire Company was assisted by the Beaverdale, Blue Knob, Summerhill, Ashville and Keystone Regional fire departments.

The incident was cleared about 11:30 p.m., Davis said.
